Updated Brand Identity Launched on Company’s First Day Under New Ownership
LONDON, U.K. – April 4, 2018 – The world’s leading provider of talent assessment today announced that it has begun operating as “SHL.” The company unveiled an updated brand identity on the first day under the ownership of Exponent Private Equity.
The SHL brand is defined by a new mission, set of values and logo designed to more powerfully convey the company’s heritage and leadership in talent assessment and management. SHL’s passion for advancing the science of people in the workplace, assessment innovation and best practice helps clients transform productivity and improve business outcomes.

SHL’s new logo is simple, strong and visually captures the notion of connections and innovation, two of its four core values, which are represented as dots in the logo. It also capitalises on the company’s energy, confidence and passion for people and technology as evidenced in the fresh new, vibrant colour palette. To round out the brand transformation, SHL’s new tagline, “Talent in Innovation. Innovation in Talent,” reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation through its employees and its portfolio of offerings.

SHL decided on its name, new tagline and updated brand after extensive research that included clients, prospects and employees. The new brand identity was revealed to 1,200 SHL employees in late March and previewed publicly shortly thereafter during an awards ceremony in China, at which SHL was recognised by HRoot as the “Best International Provider of Talent Assessments”.
The new name and supporting changes went live this morning on the SHL corporate website and are visible at its global headquarters in Thames Ditton, U.K. and in regional offices around the world. Over the next year, SHL will continue to align its tools, technologies and services to streamline and strengthen the SHL brand.
